Jones Snowboards Flagship Freeride Snowboard (154-cm)
Product Description
Ideal for Big Mountain Freeriding and Fall Line Freestyle. The Flagship knows no speed limit as the Mellow Magne-traction keeps it solid on ice, while the blunt nose, directional rocker and camber underfoot deliver the float and stability necessary to bomb lines. Carbon stringers and a wood topsheet provide a lively but damp board feel that's big on pop and solid on landing. When the terrain demands confidence and control the Flagship is in a league of its own. No other freeride board on the planet can match it's power or agility. Does it sound like a superhero. The Flagship will make you feel like one. Coveted for it's stability at speed and wall crawling edge grip, the Flagship is a big mountain board you can trust your life to. Jeremy Jones and Luca Pandolfi trust the Flagship on first descents every winter. Mitch Toelderer won the 2011 Freeride World Tour on a Flagship. Ryland Bell has a Flagship welded to his boots, he won't step foot on any other board. So what's the big deal with the Flagship? It goes fast. Really, really fast

Love It

I usually don't write reviews but wow.I ride hard and fast and have been very disappointed with boards these days. My Burton T6 is getting old and I need another stiff, hard, fast board that takes abuse. I actually was pissed enough to write Burton a letter and say they are dropping the ball for the hard charging freeride folks. Nothing wrong with Vapors and CX I suppose, but still not stiff enough for me.the JONES is it! Rode it for 2 days and I was sold. No need for gimmicky slogans, this thing is fast and solid. Strong edges and base that put up with abuse almost astonishingly well. Absolutely charges in powder. Seems faster than my fish and I didn't think that was possible and just as effortless. I hit plenty of hidden rocks through early season powder and was just astonished when I would look at the base, edges at the end of each run. A hit that would badly core and pull an edge on a typical board these days will simply cause a scratch on this thing. The base does not bunch on a hit either. This is the board to have if you tend to thrash boards in 1 day ;).I am all for fancy "ultralight boards" that are all the rage these days, but do that and you pay 3 times too much for a board that will break and not hold a line at speed. Sure throwing a 1080 is easier lol, but what about Corbets? I wouldn't take "ultralight" there. I'm not saying the Jones is heavy, it seems lighter than my t6.If you like to ride hard and fast you will have an ear to ear smile when you get on this board.
